PURPOSE

OBJECTIVES

Participants will learn survival skills on all levels.
Participants will participate in team building skills.
Participants will partner with people in the community, businesses, politics, all levels of government, schools, churches and others areas as needed.
Participants will participate in a mentoring program to build and strengthen their career of interest.
Participants will participate in workshops on relationship building, financial literacy, how to solve conflicts to avoid legal consequences, and etc.
Participants will develop goals for academic success/excellence and individual potential.

As a community, we are committed to the development of our youth. Camp Terrence is a Non-Profit Youth Development initiative whose purpose is to improve the lives of young people.

Camp Terrence is named in honor of Terrence Neal Hamilton who was tragically taken from us at the young age of sixteen. Started by his siblings, Camp Terrence is designed to honor and preserve his legacy while helping young people achieve their goals for a better life. Terrence was loving, gentle and kind. His life’s goal was to join the Navy and become a career officer.

The program will work with high school students exposing them to a variety of life skills to help them become successful citizens. The program has a strong mentoring component, a skill and educational component and a hands-on experience component.
